These “10 minute” sessions do more harm than good.

... so that I can train a dog clearly, fairly and effectively while making sure they actually enjoy the training process.

 

All that being said…

 

There is a problem with board and trains.

 

Many dogs come out of these programs and will behave perfectly for the trainer..

 

..rock solid obedience, perfect off leash, best manners…

 

.. and then it all falls apart at home with the owner.

 

This is the point where trainers will suggest more paid lessons, classes and even “refresher” board and train stays.

 

I’ve seen this happen and even early on experienced these "out of the blue" regressions myself.

 

There are 3 reasons why my board and trains are successful while others fail.

ONE is most trainers train the dogs for themselves.

 

That's why they are great for the trainer... but not for the owner.

The real secret to success with board and trains (or any dog training) is to train the dog FOR THE OWNER.

​

When we meet... I will be studying YOU.

Asking questions and paying attention.

​

Because I will be a very close version of YOU when I train your dog.

Let's face it... you cannot change who you are and how you act, and etc.  

 

But I can teach the dog to respond to who you are.

This is something that separates massive failure... from incredible success.

The second thing I do that ensures success is I keep the dog long enough to create habits.

​

Short 2-3 week board and trains sound great... but the training comes apart fast.

​

I will work with your dog long enough to actually create a habit that has the best chance to last your dog's lifetime.

Please understand this... it's extremely important.  

 

My board and trains are usually 4-6 weeks and for owners who are happy to invest at least $4,500 in their dog.

 

At first glance, this may seem like a long time.  

 

But time is relative.  

 

Relative to doing a shorter one and throwing away that time and money not getting the results you want.  

 

Relative to not being able to do the things you want to do with your dog.

 

Relative to continuing to struggle and be frustrated.

And when compared to the 12-15 years you will have with your dog...

 

4-6 weeks is nothing.

 

Especially when you factor in how much more enjoyable that time will be.

 

So many people tried those shorter board and trains..

 

.. wasted that time and money...

 

... before coming to me and finally getting the results they were looking for.
